Code Black (2015)

An overcrowded Los Angeles emergency department keeps asking its staff to do more than the available resources comfortably allow. Marcia Gay Harden gives the senior doctor's expectations force, while the team has to absorb repeated collisions between urgency and experience. This is a more heightened network drama than The Pitt, with bigger emotional signals. It offers the familiar pleasure of watching an ensemble learn to coordinate under pressure.
