The Responder (2022)

A Liverpool response officer works nights while trying to manage pressures that are eroding his judgement. Martin Freeman makes each apparently containable call arrive with the weight of the previous one, and a new colleague cannot simply inherit his account of what good work looks like. The connection is the accumulating shift rather than medicine. It is bleak, morally compromised television with little of The Pitt's reassuring collective competence.
