Sirens (2011)

Three paramedics use abrasive humour to get through calls that expose them to people at their least controlled. The 2011 British series moves between the practical teamwork of an ambulance crew and the personal habits they cannot leave off duty. It is a looser, cruder companion to The Pitt's staff-room exchanges, with distress beneath the banter. This is the six-episode Channel 4 original, cancelled after one series, rather than the American remake.
