London Irish (2013)

Four Northern Irish friends in London keep interpreting events through a shared set of assumptions that outsiders do not necessarily recognise. Lisa McGee's six-episode 2013 comedy supplies an adult version of the gang's mutually reinforcing bad judgement. It is much boozier and less tender than Derry Girls, with the pleasure in the specificity of an argument and the speed at which a supposedly simple plan acquires consequences.
