Bread of Happiness (2012)
Movie

A Hokkaido café's bread, coffee and seasonal meals offer a regular welcome to customers arriving with very different hurts. Yukiko Mishima gives the hosts' division of work a gentle rhythm rather than turning hospitality into a competition. Choose it for an openly comforting ensemble film, with the caveat that its kindness is deliberately idealised and its visitors still bring grief and family strain.
