Farewell North (2024)

Being a border collie lets companionship take the form of finding a path, herding animals and bringing colour back to your human's world. Walking and travelling by canoe through Scottish islands gives the story's farewells a landscape to inhabit. Playful dog tasks sit alongside a more serious account of loss. The canine viewpoint and gentle scenery should not be mistaken for a promise of an emotionally light conclusion.
