After Hours (1985)
Movie
Released
A late-night trip downtown keeps turning attempted exits into fresh social obligations. Martin Scorsese makes wet streets and nearly empty interiors feel both comic and hostile. The older exception suits a sleepless mood because the city will not let the protagonist finish the evening, however ordinary his next request sounds.
