A merchant or loremaster can pursue a genuinely different route from a trained fighter. Skill investment and faction loyalties determine which opportunities are plausible, making specialisation part of the identity rather than a combat preference. Its ruined, Roman-inspired world is unforgiving of a build that tries to do everything. Choose it for committing to a particular competence, with hard checks, lethal fights and missed content that give the commitment teeth.
