Torment: Tides of Numenera (2017)

You inhabit a body discarded by a being who used lives as replaceable vessels. Other people's memories and expectations complicate the question of who this new person should become. Choices, unusual abilities and conversations provide more of its identity than fighting prowess alone. It is a text-heavy science-fantasy RPG with a fixed central premise, and its strange vocabulary asks for patience. Choose it when defining a self sounds more interesting than simply optimising one.
