RPGs With Party Members Worth Arguing About

A good RPG party can disagree about far more than who gets the healing potion. These games give companions loyalties, histories and ambitions that complicate the protagonist's plans. The appeal is in understanding an objection, weighing a difficult friendship or discovering why a character you dislike still belongs in the conversation. Some relationships respond to your decisions; others unfold through a fixed story. Leave room for optional dialogue, and expect company worth debating rather than a romance ranking. Major loyalty decisions and character revelations stay unspoilt here.
