Widows (2018)
Movie
Released
The women inherit both a debt and a criminal plan, then must acquire the working knowledge that the dead men's notes cannot supply. Steve McQueen connects recruitment and preparation to Chicago's political and financial power. The heist is satisfying because competence has to be built under pressure, with grief and coercion making failure personally dangerous.
