The Alabama Solution (2025)

Contraband phone footage gives incarcerated men a way to challenge what outsiders are allowed to see of Alabama's prisons. Andrew Jarecki and Charlotte Kaufman's investigation begins with reports of a violent death and grows through sustained contact with people taking risks to document conditions. The thriller momentum comes from access that may close at any moment. Its findings are the film's reported investigation, with disturbing violence and an openly campaigning purpose.
