Sholay (1975)
Movie

Two criminals recruited to protect a village become the centre of a much larger weave of friendship, romance, comedy and revenge. The Hindi production lets western action coexist with the expansive pleasures of a popular Indian epic. Set aside an evening rather than a spare hour; its songs and village relationships make the eventual confrontations matter.
