Reduced Combat Difficulty sits between ordinary combat and No Fail mode; No Stamina Restrictions is a separate option. You can adjust these in settings while continuing the same adventure, so a tiring boss need not end an evening of exploring. The manual, routes and layered secrets still ask you to pay attention. No Fail does not solve those puzzles, and an achievement requiring a death naturally needs that protection turned off.
