Moss (2018)
7.9/10on IGDB
Released
PS5 with PS VR2 and Sense controllers: guiding Quill through miniature scenes makes sitting feel natural. You still reach into the diorama to move objects and help her, and leaning reveals hidden corners. Re-centre from your actual chair position and leave room for both hands; a fixed viewpoint does not remove reach demands.

Moss: Book II (2022)
8.7/10on IGDB
Released
PS5 with PS VR2 and Sense controllers: the sequel keeps Quill's adventure in detailed dioramas, with more direct interaction around her weapons and puzzles. Sitting is officially supported, but expect reaching and two-handed coordination. Play the first Moss first, and check that your chair arms do not obstruct the controller movements.

Demeo (2021)
6.3/10on IGDB
Released
PS VR2: turn-based dungeon tactics suit a seat, and the board can be moved, scaled and tilted towards you rather than leaving you bent over a virtual table. Arrange it before settling into a long adventure. Picking up figures and playing cards still uses your hands, and moving the whole view can feel different from a stationary board.

Puzzling Places (2021)
8.3/10on IGDB
Released
Standalone Quest 3: bring scanned buildings together piece by piece without walking around a real table. Force-pull and puzzle-group tools help keep pieces manageable from a chair; the broom retrieves pieces left far away. Position the puzzle within easy reach and remember that pieces can end up behind you.

I Expect You to Die (2016)
7.3/10on IGDB
Released
Standalone Quest 3 with Touch controllers: spy traps are built around sitting at desks or inside vehicles. Telekinesis brings distant objects to you, so reaching across the room is not the solution. You still manipulate items and look around for clues; allow elbow space and re-centre before beginning a mission.

I Expect You to Die 2 (2021)
Released
Standalone Quest 3 with Touch controllers: new undercover escape scenarios retain the seated design and object-moving telekinesis. That makes a small room workable without reducing the puzzles to button presses. Timed hazards can still demand quick hand movements and looking to either side; sitting is not a promise of minimal exertion.

Cubism (2020)
Released
Standalone Quest 3: assembling coloured blocks is a strong fit for a chair, with no need to walk through a world. You can use controllers or hand tracking and mixed reality. Those last two features belong to the standalone Quest version, not SteamVR through a Link cable; keep the puzzle and tracked hands in a comfortable working area.

Tetris Effect: Connected (2020)
9.0/10on IGDB
Released
PC VR through SteamVR or Oculus PC, with a gamepad: the falling-block well remains in front of you while music and imagery surround it. Re-centre and adjust the view from your seated position, then keep your hands on familiar controls. No reaching is required for blocks, but the sweeping light and particle effects can still feel intense.

Thumper (2016)
7.5/10on IGDB
Released
PC VR with a gamepad: a button and directional inputs control the beetle, so you can keep your hands in your lap. The developer's manual provides a held-button recenter command. It is an excellent seated rhythm choice for people who enjoy intensity, not a gentle experience: the rushing track and violent audiovisual feedback are the point.

Rez Infinite (2016)
7.4/10on IGDB
Released
PC VR with a supported gamepad: lock-on shooting makes the musical journey work without swinging your arms. Start with the original on-rails areas before the freer movement of Area X. VR gaze-linked aiming can involve head movement, and Area X changes the motion demands; seated controls do not guarantee visual comfort.

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (2015)
8.4/10on IGDB
Released
Standalone Quest 3 with Touch controllers: the defuser handles and turns a bomb while friends read the separate manual, so the group can play around a seated player. Only the defuser needs a headset, but at least two people are needed. Leave space to manipulate the bomb and keep communication clear; this is not a solo puzzle collection.

Real VR Fishing (2019)
Released
PICO 4 with its controllers: the store explicitly supports sitting, and float fishing offers a less active alternative to lure fishing. Scenic banks and boats provide the setting while you cast and reel. Check those arm movements from your chair first; sitting does not eliminate casting space or the work of fighting a fish.

Ghost Signal: A Stellaris Game (2023)
Released
Standalone Quest 3: command the Aurora from outside the ship rather than placing yourself in a rolling cockpit. Directing its route and attacks makes seated space combat practical, with controller and hand-tracking options. You still manipulate and inspect a three-dimensional battlefield, so keep room for gestures and expect more activity than a static board game.

The Room VR: A Dark Matter (2020)
7.6/10on IGDB
Released
Standalone Quest 3 with Touch controllers: choose the sitting setup and investigate puzzle mechanisms from fixed teleport positions rather than physically touring a room. You still turn handles, pull objects and reach in front or to the side. The PS VR2 release has a separate room-scale setup requirement, so do not transfer this Quest setup advice to that version.

Ultrawings 2 (2022)
Released
Original standalone Quest 2 release with Touch controllers: sitting matches the cockpit, but flying means physically working the stick, throttle and switches. Arrange the chair so its arms do not block them and begin with comfort settings. Banking and dogfights can be visually demanding. This is the original Ultrawings 2, not the separate Quest 3 Gold Edition.
