PS5 Part I remake: the hearing preset enables awareness indicators, pickup notifications and story-plus-combat subtitles. Persistent threat indicators can point towards dangerous enemies during combat, making this more useful than dialogue text alone. Start with that preset, then tune the HUD; these are the remake's options, not the old PS4 Remastered release.
