The muted Forgotten Crossroads and a limited opening moveset can undersell the variety of Hallownest. Reaching Greenpath after acquiring Vengeful Spirit, then earning the dash there, gives a better sense of the changing environments and connected exploration. On a first playthrough that can mean several sessions. Maps still require attention, and recovering from a death remains part of the adventure, so it is not a promise of easier travel.
