The Day of the Dolphin (1973)
Movie
Released
A scientist's trusting communication with animals becomes vulnerable to people with very different plans for the work. Mike Nichols makes the professional environment's hidden purpose the source of suspicion. Its speculative assassination premise is fanciful, but the question of who controls a research project's eventual use remains immediately legible.
