Klaus (2019)

The snowy setting is gorgeous, but the warmth comes from watching a selfish errand turn into a habit of doing good. Its feuding town changes through repeated practical acts rather than a single declaration of festive feeling. A little grief gives it texture; the humour and growing generosity make it a comforting choice beyond Christmas week.
