Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005)
Movie
Released
Village vegetable competitions, harebrained machinery and Gromit's patient expressions make this a particularly British form of reassurance. The monster-film parody adds excitement, but the handmade details and gloriously small-scale obsessions do most of the cheering. It is ideal when an elaborate joke about a marrow sounds more appealing than the real world's emergencies.
