Forrest Gump (1994)
Movie
Released
Best Picture, 1995 ceremony.
Tom Hanks's directness and Gary Sinise's irritable physical presence give the historical pageant genuine feeling. My repeat-viewing snag is the procession of recognisable people and events: once the encounters are familiar, their cleverness can interrupt relationships I would rather spend time with. Jenny's harder life is especially compressed beside Forrest's expansive itinerary. The affection survives, but the tour has fewer surprises to trade for its length.

About Forrest Gump
A man with a low IQ has accomplished great things in his life and been present during significant historic events—in each case, far exceeding what anyone imagined he could do. But despite all he has achieved, his one true love eludes him.
