Argo (2012)

Best Picture, 2013 ceremony. The fake-film operation remains a delicious premise, especially when Alan Arkin and John Goodman handle Hollywood's everyday absurdity. The airport stretch is where my repeat interest slips: accumulating checks, delays and last-second interventions feel increasingly like visible suspense levers. The six people being rescued have less individual texture to draw you back once the escape's outcome is familiar. I would sooner revisit the planning than the whole mission.
