Weapons (2025)
Movie
Released
The missing children and intersecting viewpoints make a community's fear fascinating before Gladys provides its explanation. Her witchcraft and the children's ferocious retaliation turn that diffuse unease into an unusually crowd-pleasing release. The coda does acknowledge lasting damage; my reservation is about how the comic brutality sits beside it, rather than an accusation that the film forgets its victims.
