Crimzon Clover: World EXplosion (2020)
Released
Training lets you choose the mode, ship and stage and adjust the starting situation, making it a direct answer to a boss that normally arrives too late in the evening. Practise its approach as well as its final patterns, then repeat with the resources you usually bring into the fight. Choose World EXplosion on PC for this package, rather than assuming an older World Ignition guide describes every setting. Novice, Arcade and Arrange have different rules, so keep the target mode consistent.

Ketsui Deathtiny: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi (2018)
Released
Arcade Challenge breaks stages into discrete sections, unlocking the next area as you play. Bonds of Growth goes further: it records an Arcade death and lets you restart five seconds before it, then asks you to survive ten seconds. That makes a failed run generate its own useful homework. This is M2's PS4 Deathtiny release, not the arcade board or an older console port. Challenge is single-player, and success in one short retry still needs to be joined to a sustained Arcade attempt.

Blue Revolver (2016)
8.0/10on IGDB
Released
The current PC game includes the free Double Action update, whose stage-select flow uses a quick boss checkpoint without waiting through the resupply or introduction. Missions supply more focused survival and scoring exercises before a complete clear. Choose the rule set and weapon you intend to use, because its adaptive difficulty changes the pressure. Replays are version-sensitive: the developer identifies later updates that break older recordings, so compare a replay's build before treating it as an exact script.

ESP Ra.De. Psi (2019)
Released
M2's Arcade Challenge divides stages into smaller scenes and rewinds mistakes for another attempt. Arcade Osarai also saves failed moments from Arcade play, restarting five seconds before the death and testing whether you can survive the next ten. It is an unusually practical way to turn an evening's failures into a short practice session. Choose the Japanese PS4 or Switch Psi release and allow for its language barrier. Its Arcade Plus changes are separate from learning the original Arcade rules.

DoDonPachi DaiOuJou Re:Incarnation (2023)
Released
Arcade Challenge lets you select areas, ship and doll while adjusting resources important to hyper management. Its rewind-based training also supports work on bee collection and keeping a chain alive, so practice can grow beyond simply reaching the next stage. This is M2's 2023 Japanese PS4/Switch release, also called Rinne Tensei. Check the Japanese-release menus before buying. Begin with the arcade version you want to clear; the included Black Label and overseas variants are different targets.

Gunvein (2022)
Released
The PC game offers tutorial and challenge missions, including boss-rush work, alongside practice tools. Standard mode takes another approach: checkpoints and a shop make repeated attempts part of normal progress. That is useful if you want to learn by playing before taking on a single-credit Arcade run. Keep the distinction clear when judging improvement: a section survived through Standard's economy is preparation, rather than proof that the same resources will be available in Arcade.

Mushihimesama (2004)
8.5/10on IGDB
Released
The PC release has a training mode for individual stages and shared replays, giving you a manageable place to work on a pattern and a way to compare routes. Match the mode and your chosen shot type before repeating the attempt. Novice, Arcade and Arrange change the challenge; reducing it temporarily is useful, but does not make their patterns interchangeable. This recommendation is the Steam release, where the modified V1.5 mode is optional paid DLC, rather than an assumption about another port's package.

DoDonPachi Resurrection (2008)
8.0/10on IGDB
Released
The PC release's Training mode lets you return to the shooting problem, while replay support helps you examine a route after the fact. Pick a single target rule set first: the package includes Normal, Novice, Arrange and Black Label variations with meaningful differences. Arrange B is explicitly a customisable single-stage format, but it is its own game mode, rather than the universal equivalent of practising Arcade. Use it for that separate experiment and keep your full-run goal under consistent rules.

Deathsmiles I & II (2021)
Released
Its training mode lets you customise the stage and player setup, making a particular approach or boss available without replaying the whole gothic route. It is particularly useful for learning attacks from both sides before adding scoring pressure. This recommendation is the I & II collection, with the first game, Mega Black Label and IIX clearly separated. Record which title, mode and difficulty you used; a safe route or familiar enemy placement in one is not a guarantee in the others.

Darius Cozmic Collection Arcade (2020)
Released
Zone training lets you set power-up levels, while quick save and load make a difficult branch or boss worth revisiting immediately. The route gadgets and replay tools help connect that local practice to a complete path through an arcade game. Choose the Arcade collection for these features, not the separately packaged console-game collection. Match the exact game and regional version, then reduce a generous practice loadout to something your real run can plausibly carry into the chosen zone.

G-Darius HD (2021)
Released
The updated HD package provides zone training with configurable ship strength, letting you repeat a capture route or beam battle without another complete opening. It is a useful setting for finding where an enemy must be captured before the next encounter. Choose the original arcade rules or Ver.2 deliberately, because boss patterns and balance differ. The included console port's beginner and boss modes are separate experiences; do not transfer every training claim across all five versions in the package.

Gradius Origins (2025)
Released
Quick save, quick load and rewind let you place the lesson at the moment a recovery starts to fail. Training also allows adjustments such as restart points, loops and power-up status in supported game versions. That makes it valuable for comparing a fully equipped route with the much harsher route after a death. The collection contains several arcade games and revisions, and the training menu is not universal across every version. Keep the title, revision and starting equipment written down.

R-Type Delta: HD Boosted (2025)
Released
The 2025 HD Boosted release includes Practice Mode, making its tightly arranged machinery a more convenient study than replaying only from the beginning. Use it to learn the space needed by your chosen ship and Force device before returning to the checkpoint-led main game. This is a recommendation for that specific newer release, rather than a promise about every older Delta version. A rehearsed passage at full strength is only the first step towards surviving an awkward recovery.

Ray'z Arcade Chronology (2023)
Released
A save-anywhere feature lets you mark the difficult spot, and downloadable replays give you another route to examine before trying it yourself. That is especially helpful when a lock-on sequence needs planning before the enemies become immediate threats. This is the M2 collection of RayForce, RayStorm and RayCrisis, with additional HD presentations of the latter two. Keep the game and version consistent, and place another save earlier once the isolated section becomes comfortable.

Battle Garegga Rev.2016 (2016)
Released
The PS4 release provides thirty quick-save slots per mode and lets you restart at a quick-load position, so a difficult boss can become an immediate repeatable exercise. Its information gadgets help explain why the dynamic rank system makes an apparently similar attempt feel different. Save a situation reached through ordinary play instead of manufacturing an easy one, then practise linking it to the preceding stage. This is Rev.2016's support package, not an assumption about the rare Saturn port.
