The absurd rules governing couples and single people make proof of attachment into a grotesque practical problem. The ending leaves you confronting what somebody might do to satisfy a system they supposedly reject. Discuss love, conformity and the fear of being alone, while allowing the film's deadpan cruelty to remain uncomfortable rather than treating it as a dating manual.
