Gawain wants the appearance of a great story before he understands what its demands might be. David Lowery's final sequence asks you to distinguish an imagined future, a moral recognition and a literal event. Its strongest discussion is about what courage would look like once admiration is no longer guaranteed, with a patient, strange fantasy journey leading there.
