Guardian Heroes (2011)

The Xbox remaster's story campaign is for two players. Han's sturdy melee fighting makes a useful partner for Randy's offensive spells or Nicole's healing and defensive magic, with all four original heroes available at the start. Level-up choices deepen those differences across a run. Friendly fire makes spell placement and lane changes part of protecting your friend. Choose the story mode for this partnership; the larger advertised versus battles are a separate activity. The remaster remains available on Xbox One and Series consoles.
