Hard Corps: Uprising (2011)

Double jumps and air dashes turn a flat firing line into a route through the enemy's defence. Holding an aim direction while repositioning takes practice, and the richer movement is easiest to appreciate once you stop trying to sprint through every threat. Rising mode lets earned points buy health, lives and abilities; some movement upgrades must be unlocked there. Arcade supplies the standard action toolkit but asks for a stricter run. The official Xbox release works on Xbox One and Series consoles.
