The Thing (1982)

A creature that can imitate somebody perfectly turns the Antarctic group's need for cooperation into a source of danger. John Carpenter makes every attempt to establish trust alter the practical balance of the room. The spectacular physical effects matter because the men must decide what evidence to believe around them. Pick it for paranoia expressed through group behaviour and enclosed space, with extreme bodily horror and a relentlessly bleak atmosphere.
