Shin Godzilla (2016)
Movie
Released
The creature's arrival exposes a government struggling to turn information into a useful decision. Meetings, procedures and improvised expertise become part of the action rather than pauses between attacks. Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi give the monster an alarmingly unfamiliar body while the human response accumulates its own rhythm. Pick it for institutional problem-solving and dry bureaucratic comedy; it offers a very different emotional temperature from Godzilla Minus One.
