A franchise emblem becomes a child's decision about how to remember the man who protected her, after the film has made him doubtful about heroic stories. The tiny physical action gives the familiar symbol private weight. It closes the film through the survivor's understanding of his legacy, without needing another speech or a parade of returning characters.
