Creed (2015)
Movie
Released
The Philadelphia steps return as a slow climb with Adonis supporting an ailing Rocky. The location once made Rocky's growing strength public; here it measures an older man's vulnerability and the care his new fighter gives back. Remembering the triumphant run makes this quieter ascent more moving. It brings the mentor relationship to an emotional destination after the result in the ring is already settled.
