Cogmind (2017)

You build a robot from parts you find or salvage, and can abandon a damaged combat build for a faster or stealthier one during the same run. There is no experience-point grind or account-wide stat shop funding the next robot. The part gallery and discovered lore persist as useful knowledge, while your working machine must be assembled again. It remains in Early Access with a substantial journey already playable. Choose it when adapting to what survives sounds more interesting than steadily strengthening a permanent character.
