Ernest & Celestine (2012)

The watercolour-like movement makes a mouse and bear's forbidden friendship as pleasing to look at as it is easy to understand. Adults get a gentle visual rhythm and a sharp sense of social prejudice, with pursuit and danger giving the warmth real stakes.
