Hot Fuzz (2007)
Movie
Released
Bring the friends who quote action films, then let Edgar Wright make the quieter viewers laugh at village politics and a spectacularly mismatched police partnership. Simon Pegg's rigid seriousness meets Nick Frost's delighted enthusiasm, and small throwaway details keep returning as bigger jokes. Paying attention becomes a shared pleasure as the absurdity gathers speed. The violence is deliberately gory.
