Parasite (2019)
Movie
Released
Stairs, slopes and the distance between two homes turn Seoul's class divisions into movements the characters must physically perform. Bong Joon-ho makes architecture organise who can enter, hide, overhear and recover from a storm. The houses are carefully constructed screen spaces, not a set of tourist addresses. Its precision rewards attention to levels and thresholds without needing advance knowledge of the story's turns.
