Drive My Car (2021)
Movie
Released
Hiroshima's journeys between rehearsal, accommodation and the red Saab give an actor and his driver time to listen before they can speak plainly. Ryūsuke Hamaguchi makes travel a working interval rather than empty connective tissue. The theatre production anchors the city passages, while later journeys extend beyond it. Choose it for how repeated movement changes intimacy, with bereavement and a patient pace central to the experience.
