Cypher's secret restaurant meeting leaves an operational question: how does he enter and leave the simulation without exposing the betrayal to the crew? Automated help is conceivable, but the film does not show his arrangement. This is omitted logistics, not proof that the meeting cannot happen. The scene earns its place because a mouthful of imaginary steak makes his preference for comfortable illusion horribly understandable.
