After Dark, My Sweet (1990)
Movie
Released
An ex-boxer is drawn into a kidnapping scheme in washed-out Southern California, where open ground and a neglected pool offer no release from mistrust. Jason Patric makes it hard to judge how much his character understands. The unstable viewpoint is the draw: the landscape looks available to explore, yet every apparent exit may be another manipulation.
