Morfydd Clark keeps Maud's loneliness legible even when her inner certainty becomes frightening, and the contrast between a seaside town and her cramped room sharpens that isolation. Sparse but fierce jolts prevent this from being a no-startles choice. Its more persistent disturbance lies in watching a need for connection harden into a mission.
