Renée Zellweger makes Judy Garland's readiness to perform look like work already under way before the first song. The lifted chin, guarded smile and flicker of calculation register someone measuring what an audience needs against what she has left. The suffering-star structure can be familiar, but these small adjustments make the London engagements feel precariously immediate rather than a procession of career milestones.
