His shifts give this captivity thriller interest beyond its increasingly elaborate revelations, with Anya Taylor-Joy providing a watchful counterweight. The premise turns dissociative identity into sensational horror, so approach it as lurid fantasy rather than an account of the condition. His craft is more persuasive than the mythology surrounding it.
