The Witness (2018)

A salaryman sees a killing from his living-room window, and the killer notices the witness above him. That simple exchange turns the apartment complex into a map of possible exposure. Lee Sung-min gives hesitation a painfully recognisable texture: every attempt to preserve ordinary life makes the next choice harder. The Witness is the pick for suspense about collective silence, where proximity supplies neither solidarity nor safety. It is grim and violent, with social pressure doing as much work as pursuit.
