The Neighbors (2012)

A suspected serial killer lives among people whose small observations could mean much more if anyone joined them together. The Neighbors builds an ensemble around that failure of connection, rather than handing the building to one brilliant investigator. Its different residents offer different reasons to watch, doubt and finally act. Choose this for a wider view of communal responsibility than Door Lock's solitary fear. The murder of a teenager and the grief around it give the thriller a particularly distressing weight.
