Hot Fuzz (2007)
Movie
Released
Nicholas Angel brings metropolitan police diligence to a village that considers his paperwork and standards a social nuisance. Simon Pegg's rigid posture makes competence funny without making the work meaningless, while Nick Frost supplies a very different idea of professional development. Hot Fuzz gets mileage from local procedure becoming an epic personal mission, then gives that mission a bloodily extravagant action payoff. Pick it for a tightly planted buddy comedy whose apparently trivial details keep returning with purpose.
