The Set Up (2019)

A young woman's skill at deception becomes useful to people whose money gives them other ways of controlling a room. Niyi Akinmolayan makes wealthy Lagos society a setting in which every invitation may conceal a job. The pleasures are competing agendas and the uncertainty of who is using whom. Its accumulation of reversals can become busy, so pick it when a twist-heavy confidence game sounds more appealing than a stripped-back chase.
