Drishyam (2013)
Movie
Released
Malayalam, directed by Jeethu Joseph. Mohanlal's apparently ordinary father has to understand what other people will notice, remember and believe when his family faces an investigation. Its construction gives a newcomer a clear thriller question without requiring specialist context. Keep the details of the central incident unspoilt, and seek this 2013 original rather than one of its several remakes.
