Village Rockstars (2018)
Movie
Released
Assamese, directed by Rima Das. Dhunu's wish for a guitar and a band survives alongside floods, chores and the expectations placed on a village girl. The film lets ambition grow out of ordinary play rather than turning her life into a lesson for outsiders. A compact, observational entry point with a strong child's-eye perspective. Start with this first film before its later continuation.
