The seductive early movement through a dream of the 1960s earns the later exposure of exploitation. Revealing Sandie as the older killer makes that reckoning more complicated, but the final reassuring vision of her glamour feels too easy to me. The film acknowledges the damage; its closing emotional gesture does less work than the moral tangle it has created.
