Nimona (2023)
Movie

A disgraced knight's alliance with a shapeshifter makes the institution's definition of a monster increasingly difficult to trust. Nimona's changes of form are funny, exuberant and inseparable from the hurt of being treated as a threat. Choose it for animated superhero fantasy that asks what acceptance costs when it requires someone to remain within a reassuring category.
